MANILA, Philippines – The House of Representatives received its first impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, December 2, filed by a coalition of civic organizations.
The complaint found its way to Congress after Akbayan Representative Percival Cendaña agreed to give his endorsement, a prerequisite to the impeachment process under the 1987 Constitution.
