IV of Spades had gone on an indefinite hiatus in August 2020, its members saying they would keep pursuing their other personal interests and take a”needed time off” as a band.

Their hiatus came just two years after the band’s lead vocalist, Unique Salonga, left the band in 2018 to pursue his own projects.

Since their hiatus, however, the members have been actively pursuing their solo endeavors. Badjao plays the drums for experimental rock supergroup Party Pace alongside Sandwich and the Eraserheads’ Raymund Marasigan; bird., Chicosci, and Jejaview’s Eco del Rio; and guitarist John Apura.

Party Pace currently has two full-length albums under its belt: Nauseous (2022) and MoreHawks (2025).

Unique, meanwhile, released his first solo album, Grandma in August 2018. He would go on to drop two more — PANGALAN: in 2020, and Daisy in 2023.

Zild, meanwhile, began his solo project over the COVID-19 lockdowns, referring to himself then as a “pandemic artist” upon the release of his first album, Homework Machine. He has since dropped three more full-length albums, Huminga (2021), Medisina (2022), and most recently, Superpower (2024).

The group also released the single “Sariling Multo (Sa Panaginip)” in April 2020.
