MANILA, Philippines – Jordan Heading is finally taking his act to the PBA.
Heading will join Converge after the team acquired him through a three-for-one trade with Terrafirma, the PBA announced on Tuesday, November 12.
The FiberXers sent Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and a future first-round pick to the Dyip in exchange for the sharpshooting Heading.
Picked first by Terrafirma in the special Gilas Pilipinas round of the Season 46 Draft in 2021, Heading instead opted to play overseas.
He saw action for the Taichung Suns in the T1 League in Taiwan, Nagasaki Velca in the Japan B. League, and the West Adelaide Bearcats in the NBL1 in Australia.
The 28-year-old also suited up for the Strong Group Pilipinas crew that went unbeaten and captured the championship in the William Jones Cup.
By joining Converge, Heading will reunite with Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu, who serves as an assistant for the FiberXers.
The addition of Heading is a major boost to a FiberXers side that fell short of a breakthrough semifinal appearance in the recent Governors’ Cup, where it pushed San Miguel to a sudden death in the quarterfinals. – Rappler.com
